Industry
In 2015, Luka founded Deskomy, a cloud-based file-hosting platform with a familiar Desktop interface. The project received $35,000 seed funding from the Georgian government's Startup Georgia programme.
Highlights
- Cloud file-hosting with a Desktop-like UI
- File and folder sharing with permission management
- MS365 collaboration integration
- Seed-funded by Startup Georgia ($35,000)
Key Features
Online file management
Online storage and management of files and folders.
File sharing
Sharing files and folders and defining access permissions for users.
Microsoft 365 integration
Collaborative document editing capability.
Desktop-like interface
A familiar working environment for the user.
The Challenge
File access is often tied to a specific device and location. Deskomy's goal was to create a service that would allow users to store and access files from anywhere.
The platform needed to preserve a familiar desktop-like environment while simultaneously providing file and folder sharing capabilities.
The Approach
It was necessary to create an online file management system that would function similarly to a familiar desktop.
Particular attention was paid to simple file and folder management, sharing, and defining access permissions for different users.
The Solution
An online file platform was developed, allowing users to store and manage files and folders online.
The desktop-like interface offers users a familiar environment, while access permissions can be defined for each user when sharing files and folders.
The platform is also integrated with Microsoft 365, enabling collaborative work on documents.
The Result
An online file platform was created, giving users the ability to store, manage, and share files from anywhere.
The project received $35,000 in seed funding from the Georgian Government's Startup Georgia program.
