Overview

Number Ninjas is a mental math school that teaches children aged 4 to 15 to calculate with an abacus and, eventually, entirely in their heads. Artisans built the public website where families discover the program and register, a parent cabinet where parents follow their child's learning, and an admin back office where the school manages parents and students, all running on a shared, typed API.

Highlights

  • Playful marketing website with trial-lesson registration
  • Parent cabinet with per-child learning overview
  • Invite-only parent onboarding with one-time setup links
  • Admin back office for parents, students, and admin users
How We Built It

Key Features

Registration

A guided form for booking a trial lesson or enrolling in a course.

Parent cabinet

One place to follow each child's learning and stay in touch with the school.

Invite-only accounts

Parents are invited by the school and set their password through a one-time link.

Admin back office

Managing parents, students, and staff accounts from a single panel.

The Challenge

Number Ninjas teaches children mental arithmetic in small groups. The school needed a website that would explain its method to families and turn their interest into trial-lesson registrations.

Once a child is enrolled, parents want to know how the learning is going, while the school needs one place to manage families, students, and communication with them.

The Approach

The project was split into three connected parts: a public website for families, a parent cabinet for enrolled families, and an admin back office for the school team.

The website's visual language follows the brand: bright colors, the abacus, and playful shapes, so the tone speaks to children and parents at the same time. Behind it, a single API describes every request with schemas that also generate typed clients for both web apps, keeping all three parts in sync as the product grows.

The Solution

The website presents the program, the method, and parent stories, and leads families to a registration form where they leave details about themselves and their child. Forms are protected from bots with Cloudflare Turnstile, and families can also reach the team directly on WhatsApp.

Parent accounts are created by the school. The parent receives a one-time link by email to set a password; admins can see whether the link was used and issue a new one. In the cabinet, a parent can switch between their children, follow their learning, contact the school through a form, WhatsApp, or Viber, and manage their delivery address and password.

In the back office, the school team searches and manages parents and their students and administers staff accounts. Password resets expire after 15 minutes, login attempts are rate-limited, and setup links are never stored: issuing a new one invalidates the previous link.

The Result

Number Ninjas now has a single digital system: the website brings in new families, and the parent cabinet and back office keep the school and enrolled families connected.
